SWARCO SCHÖNBORN GmbH (formerly Vialux Glasperlen GmbH), based in Schönborn/Brandenburg, Germany, produces high-quality reflective glass beads for horizontal road marking. The retroreflective glass beads with diameters of up to 1.8 mm enable reliable identification of road markings in darkness as well as in wet conditions.
The glass beads are recognized worldwide as the best in their class produced by direct melting. With 27 highly motivated employees, the company exports its highly reflective glass beads to customers in international markets. After the spin-off from the Sovitec Group in 2017, the Dutch investment company Gilde operated the plant in Schönborn under the brand name Vialux. Vialux Glasperlen GmbH, now SWARCO SCHÖNBORN, has been part of the SWARCO Group since September 2018.
